One web of ideas. Three lenses.

Switch views with one click. Nothing is copied or re-entered, so a date or a place you add once shows up everywhere it fits.

Canvas

Drop in text, images and PDFs, then draw labelled links like “parent of” or “cheaper than” to build a real relationship graph.

Timeline

Give any note a date and see your ideas in order: case timelines, family history, day-by-day trip plans.

Map

Pin notes that have a place on a world map that works offline. Overlapping pins fan out so every one stays readable.

AI that reads the whole neighbourhood

Ask a question about a note and the AI reads that note and everything linked to it, including images and PDFs. It then shows which notes it used.

AI is optional and uses your own free Gemini key or your own Claude key. The app works fully without it.

What do these records say about the Harbour meeting?
The port records list Maya Okafor at Pier 9 on the same day, which supports her account. One entry contradicts the timing given in the witness note.

Questions, answered plainly

What does the name mean?

Vion stands for Visual Idea & Object Network, and is pronounced Vy-on or Vee-on. Like an ion, each note is one small unit that gets interesting once it connects to others.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, in your browser. There are no accounts and no cloud sync yet. Use Export, or Save to folder in Chrome or Edge, for backups. Putting that folder inside OneDrive or Dropbox gives you sync across devices.

Do I need AI to use it?

No. AI is optional. To use it you add your own Gemini or Claude key. Requests go from your device straight to Google or Anthropic under your own account.

What leaves my device?

AI questions go to the provider you chose. Place names you type into place search go to the Photon geocoder, which uses OpenStreetMap data. If you buy Pro, your email is sent to Polar, our payment provider, at checkout and when you sign in.

How does Pro unlock?

After checkout you activate Pro with your purchase email. Polar sends a one-time code, so there are no passwords. You can also paste a license key. Pro works on up to about five devices and keeps working offline.

I bought Pro. How do I use it on another device?

Open the app there and choose Activate Pro, or use the Activate Pro link at the top of this page. Enter the email you bought with and the code Polar sends you. The same goes if you clear your browser data.

Why no sign-up?

Free use needs no account. Pro is tied to the email you buy with, so there is nothing else to manage.

Can I get a refund?

See the refund policy below. [Wording to be reviewed before launch.]
